Shirley Ann Boxdorfer Christ, 80, of Knightdale, passed away Thursday Nov. 5, 2020.  She was born March 4, 1940 in Perryville, Missouri to the late William and Rita Opal Cottner Boxdorfer.  Shirley was of the Lutheran and Catholic faith.  She enjoyed shopping, yard sales, flea markets, and being with her grandchildren.  She had a heart of gold and always thought of others in need.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Kenser and Cindy Ponder.  Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Michael Christ of the home, two daughters, Lisa Gauthier and husband Chip of Knightdale, and Theresa Medlin and husband David of Knightdale, two sons, James Christ and wife Louise of Holly Springs, and Kevin Christ of Seattle, WA, two brothers, Kenneth Boxdorfer of Perrville, MO, and Michael Boxdorfer of Perryville, MO, her twin sister Shirley Mae Schumer of Perryville, MO, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchilden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 4.-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
