Keith Lane Congleton, 71 of Youngsville, passed away on Feb. 17, 2022. He was born on September 21, 1950 in Stokes, NC. Keith graduated from Stokes-Pactolus High School and attended Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) graduating in 1972 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He spent most of his career as a Senior Floor Manager working for Variety Wholesalers in Raleigh, NC.
Keith was an avid fisherman, camper and boater. If you were ever looking for him, you could find him anywhere close to a body of water. He was a huge fan of Nascar, particularly Jeff Gordon #24 and spent many of his Sundays over the years watching the races. Keith loved going to country music concerts, tailgating, throwing cookouts and spending time with family and friends. He was the life of the party and had a laugh that was contagious and filled a room. He never knew a stranger, making friends everywhere he went and would always be there for the people he loved, no questions asked.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Franklin Congleton and Frances Baker Congleton of Stokes, NC. He is survived by his wife Betsy Ayers Congleton of Youngsville; his daughter Courtney Reynolds Overman and her husband Charles Richard Overman of Apex; grandaughters Ava Caroline Overman and Piper Isabelle Overman of Apex; brother Franklin Congleton and sister-in-law Lois Congleton of Washington, NC; his brother Dan Congleton and sister-in-law Susan Congleton of Stokes, NC. Trey Spikes; Amber Spikes Eaton, Eric Eaton and their sons Cooper and Walker Eaton of Holly Springs.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest NC on Saturday, February 26th at 2pm.
