CANCELLED: Swamp Donkeys go for historic 100th win

By JAY LAMM editor@wsj30.com

The White Street Journal splurged for a new scorebook to cover a possible historic event in the annals of Swamp Donkeys baseball.

Sunday at 1 p.m. the Swamp Donkeys will attempt to win their 100th game as a baseball club on the field at Heritage High School.

The Donkeys play the Renegades in a North Wake Senior League doubleheader, so if at first they don’t succeed they will have a second chance for history in game two.

The White Street Journal will be there to cover the action. So come out and hopefully see history in the making.

The Donkeys were created in 2012 and played in the Men’s Senior Baseball League.
In 2016, they changed to the North Wake Baseball League to cut down on travel.

Since the switch, the Donkeys have won three league championships.
