Linda Mae Shelley, 75 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday April 8, 2021.
She was the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Steffenhagen) Plotz born in Olean, NY on November 21, 1945.
She retired from Motorola after several years. Linda will be missed by family and friends. She was a very active person. Involved at the senior center, actively doing puzzles, reading, arts and crafts and whatever else she could find. She loved going for walks exploring outside, even down the trail and visit with the deer. Linda was always willing to help in any way she could. She was a huge collector of Betty Boop, Coke and Elvis Presley.
She was always independent, strong and stubborn though she always had a huge heart. Linda, you will remain in the hearts of many, but now your time has come to join your family in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Shelley, and son Thad Shelley. Linda is survived by her son and daughter in law David Shelley and Paula Yoursoski; grandchildren Allan Shelley, Brandon Shelley, Cassie Yoursoski. Her sister Sally Bushnell; half-brother Martin Plotz; half- sister Tammy Plotz; brother in law Charles Shelley. Several nieces, nephews and cousins
