Students teach their culture, traditions to community

From WSJ Staff Reports —

A Heritage High School club has been working to make their community more informed about their way of life.

The Sin Limites, a club for Hispanic students, has been reaching out to the Heritage High School community offering tutoring to Hispanic students and to teach their culture and traditions to their classmates.

The club organizes a number of events during the year, offering speakers and learning experiences to help other cultures understand more about Hispanic traditions.

During the Christmas holidays, the club partnered with another organization to provide toys to about fifty children.

They also made a presentation on various Christmas traditions to a group of special needs students.

The club said it was looking forward to having more projects in the spring semester.
