On Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 14-15, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, Taylor Morrison of Carolinas, Inc., a contractor working on behalf of the Town of Wake Forest, will reduce to one lane with alternating two-way traffic the portion of Ligon Mill Road from Caveness Farms Avenue to Millers Mark Avenue. The temporary lane closure is necessary so crews can repair the roadway.
Signage, cones and flaggers will be in place to safely direct motorists through the work area. The lane closures may cause minor delays, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.

Motorists are encouraged to use the information to help plan their route and move safely through the work area. Weather and unforeseen circumstances occasionally prevent work from being completed as scheduled and make it unsafe to reopen lanes or streets when planned. When this occurs, town staff works with contractors to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and reduce impacts to the traveling public.
When traveling through a construction area, drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians are asked to be patient, proceed with caution and obey flaggers. Drivers should get in the correct lane well in advance and constantly be on the lookout for vehicles merging into adjacent travel lanes as they approach a work zone. Drivers are also urged to double their following distances.
